Or at least don’t ever, ever talk about them. Ever. As an aside, I’m getting increasingly critical of this process of men learning about masculinity in the presence of women. Used to be that men learned about these things from Dad, Granddad, Uncles, older brothers, and other older men in the community, away from female eyes. Now women see this process of making boys into men (and making adult males into men) which leads them to want to be part of it, which then leads them to wanting influence over the process, which leads them to actually influencing the process.
